  1. He was truly truly a man after Gods own heart like David. He absolutely adored and loved his wife Susanna so much, he would glow just talking about her. Micah was the type of man who if he felt in his spirit something was troubling you, he would stop right there and ask if you needed prayer.Im going to deeply miss you buddy. You helped out in a down time in my life and i thank you for your kind words and encouragement. Thank you for putting together agape, i know its something God put on your heart to draw his children home .Thank you for showing us Gods amazing love through his word. i can go on an on about you bro. I pray i can be an amazing man like you and husband one day like you bro. I will see you again one day while rejoicing in the presence of the Lord. -

  3. Even though it has been 4 years since the last time i saw Micah, he was the nicest person i have ever known. I ran into him at pure fitness in 06, i was unsure if he remembered me so i did not approach him, but he approached me and was so nice and sincere. He was always a person i looked up to at Sweetwater and still a person to look up to. I have never met you Suzie, but I am deeply sorry for your loss. I am praying for you every day that God brings a peace over you as you and your family deal with the unfair and untimely loss of Micah. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. God bless you guys

  5. Dedicated to Micah Kaplan:

    My Key To Life-

I never realized how fast life can be taken away
    Anytime and any day
    It makes me think...
What would I do? What would I say?
What I cry? Would I pray?
    Would I be hateful?
    Would I be thankful?
It's opened my eyes to make me realize...
Live everyday as if it were you last
No time to waste, live it fast
No time to reminisce in your past
'Cause it could be gone in a second,
    In a flash

    -Taylor Seely

I will be praying everyday for you Micah and Susanna.

  6. Micah, I miss you more than you know... When I moved here in 2009 you were one of my first friends and quickly became one of my best. When we moved into Trillium you made our time there so amazing. I'm so sorry we didn't get together much after we moved out... Just know that we wanted to so bad! You are the nicest, kindest, and most loving person I have ever met. I say this with so much happiness and joy Micah... YOU are my role model. If I can be just 1/4 of the man you were by the time we meet again, I truly will have achieved something great! It is, and always will be, an honor just to have met you. We all have lost an amazing friend, but have all gained another angel to look after us and smile upon us. I know you are looking down on us right now smiling, I can feel it. Micah, when you read this next part I know you will laugh and smile even more! There are 2 things I will always remember...1) Susie - "Jess would you like something to drink? We have Mike's Hard Lemonade" Micah - "SUSIE!!! SHH!!" and 2) ALL the times we made our "Potter" jokes with our weird accents! Micah, we love you and miss you dearly. We will all meet again soon...I can't wait :)

  8. It is clear that Micah was a person who was deeply loved and inspired by many. I'll always remember him as the goofy guy in highschool, always making people laugh. He was so sincere and had a heart of gold. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family during this time. I pray that God gives them the strength they need to get through each day. RIP Micah.

  9. I'll miss you so much Micah. I'm thankful for the years I had getting to know you and your family. You were a wonderful friend with such a positive attitude that was contagious. Playing sports with you was always fun when I was on your team. Playing against you was a different story, because of your "Hercules" like skills. I never did beat you at 1 on 1. But you always brought the best out of me on and off the field/court. I just want to thank you one last time for being such a good friend. I'll never forget how you texted and called me during my knee injury just to keep my spirits up. Also, thank you for all the times you met up with me and ran me through rehab drills to get me back in sports. I'll play a little Colplay for ya tonight, even though I hate that band. But I know you loved them so much. I'll miss you making fun of my heavy metal screaming music. The world lost a true hero yesterday. I'll never forget you! Thanks again for everything! And show them up there how you take every catch to the house! R.I.P Micah

  10. I met Micah when he began coaching at O'Connor HS. His passion for soccer and the kids was on display every minute. Micah had an even greater passion for only one thing - Susie. Susie know that Micah loved you and let everyone know. He let me know on more than one occassion how he was so lucky to have you in his life. I just want to thank Susie and Micah's family for sharing him with me. I am better for knowing Micah and all of the kids he worked with are better for knowing him also. Micah - you will be missed more than you know but we are all better for knowing you.

  11. You meet a person… they have a little spark
While others you meet illuminate a millions rays of sunshine with every person they touch
Micah was this person. He had the kind of charisma that was like a magnet drawing you in
Micah was funny, compassionate, and lived with purpose…….
A man not afraid to show how much he loved his wife or how much he loved children
Yes you meet people every day who have a bit of a twinkle
But Micah’s light will always illuminate our souls
May our memories of him always shine

Micah, I remember seeing this status update and feeling so lucky and blessed to have met you and Susie. I'm extremely grateful that Buddy and Carson decided to be friends so that we could stop and chat with you. Jess and I always had the best times with you and Susie and laughed so hard that our stomachs hurt! I'll miss our dinners together and crazy accents (Potter and Pinocchio). It was such a joy to have known and spent time with you. You and Susie have both inspired Jess and I to become better people. Your love for one another, as well as for those in your lives, is absolutely beautiful. You really are a role model to us all. Thank you for everything that you've taught me about life and love. You're a great man and will be missed by many. I hope to see you again someday.

  14. In Loving Memory

A beacon of light, shining 'round us so bright
A pillar of love, sent from above
A worn out smile, here to stay for a while
An amazing friend, loved in the end

You left us this day, but still in a way
You'll be in our hearts, all blessings you impart
We're so glad for you, although we are sad too
You are a son of God, son of a King
And now you will lie, under his heavenly wing.

  16. I did not know Micah but I was drawn to the report of his untimely passing. Reading about how wonderfully he lived his life and how much love he shared with those around him, my heart goes out to his Bride and his family. In the midst of your grief, I hope you feel comforted to know that be now rests in the Everlasting Arms of the Happy God he loved and served. My prayers will be with you, his loved ones, as he waits for you in the "Son" Shine of God's Love.

  17. Even though I left the US over 4 years ago, Micah was one of the guys I always remembered. He was a great kid, with a goods sense of humor,a very kind person and a very good christian, just a good person, who always had a smile.I met him through soccer as he was so good that at a young age he will come play with the Arizona Sahuaros and then he did great playing for GCU , I also went to school with him for only one semester, but I got to know him pretty well as we used to chat a lot on campus, I am truly hurt by these shocking news.

  18. I can't believe this is happening, it doesn't feel real. I met Micah at Grand Canyon University. First thing I notice is that he stood out from the other athletes because he was such a strong faithful man of God. He was always a happy guy with an endless smile on his face. I can say that I do admire him because of all the hard times he has been through, he was still a positive guy, thanking God for his blessings. I know that Micah ministered to a lot of people, but because he honored God, I know that even though he is not with us, I feel he is still ministering to people right now through his touching stories and memories. We will truly miss this one of a kind man of God. I know that when he entered heaven, I can see Jesus smiling and saying thank you for his obedience and how pleased he is with him. We love you and miss you Micah.

Susanna, your loss is unimaginable, although we have never met it is evident that Micah loved you deeply and was proud to be your husband. Dan, Nancy, Joel and the entire extended family, many prayers are going out to you, may God comfort you and bring you peace in knowing that Micah is receiving rewards in heaven for the lives he touched and ministered to while he was with us.

  22. I can't believe Jesus took Micah... Micah was an amazing guy to look up to. You can tell through his life how much he loved his Jesus. He loved his Susie more than the most precious stone in the world. You could tell. Before I met my David, I told Laura Ashley I want a Micah... Someone who is all about living for God, pray with me and so many other great things... I found my David... And I have said, I found my own Micah. I will miss you Micah. Thank you for being the most amazing man who touched all of our lives with love.

  29. I moved to AZ from WA after 8th grade and Micah was one of the first guys to great me as a new player to his soccer team. He made me feel so confortable and it meant a lot to me that someone took time to make me feel so welcome. I ended up following Micah to another club where we played together for many years and became much better friends. I was also able to play against him in HS and in College when he was at GCU. He was always a leader and the most positive player on the field. He worked harder than anyone at practice and on game days. Off the field he was a great role model and overall one of the most inspirational guys I have ever met. He will be missed greatly! Miss you Micah.

  30. I can't believe that you are already gone but our memories back at Sunrise I will never forget! You always knew how to cheer me up and put a smile on my face, It never failed! Even if it was playing practical jokes on me from spraying me with the water bottle INSIDE my classroom or slapping shaving cream in my face in front of all my kids who thought it was hilarious. You always had everyone best interest in mind and warmed everyones hearts that you came in contact with. You are truly an angel and obviously God needed you up there more than we did here. I love you and miss you terribly and can't wait to see you again one day!

  31. My husband and I first met Micah at the dog park with Buddy! We have two golden retrievers that instantly became best friends with Buddy and Micah struck up a conversation with us. We were instantly drawn to his charisma and fun-loving nature. Micah went on and on about his beautiful wife Susie and that we just had to meet her. He spoke freely of his love for God and for his wife, and he was someone that we knew we wanted to be better friends with. We all struck up a bond instantly as Micah was such an open book and so easy to talk to. We tried to get together a couple times to double date, and it never ended up working out, but we know we would have been great friends and ever since we met, we enjoyed reading us status updates all the time on facebook. It was completely obvious that he was a man head over heels for Jesus, and for his wife and family. I am so sad that we never got to spend more time with him, and completely shocked that this happened. My heart goes out to you Susie, and to both of your families and close friends. I know he is dancing with the angels right now, and am so happy that we met even if we only knew him a short time. Susie, I cannot believe all you have been through in your short life. I am so so sorry for all the pain you are going through. We live so close to you... if we can EVER be of any help, please do not hesitate to call. This is such a shock. It makes me realize how much we just can't take life for granted, because you never know what is going to happen. This could happen to anyone I guess, and it is truly my worst fear. I am so sorry that you have to deal with all of this. Micah was an such a living testimony and such a great witness to others. I will never forget his smiling face and charismatic personality. I praise God for his well-lived life and can't wait to see him in heaven some day.

  32. Micah was such an honorable young man of God. The last time I spoke with him was at a Friday night bible study. His love for God was evident as well as his love for his beautiful wife and dog (yes the dog was at the bible study that night). We went way back as we were youth pastors at his church and were always bugging him to "come join us'. He was one busy young man and we were blessed when he would join us every now and then with friends Joey or Jon. Micah always had that genuine smile that I will never ever forget! At the recent bible study we attended He was so excited about all that God was doing in his life and we were so proud of him. My life is better having known him because his love for all was so evident. I never heard him utter a bad word about anyone! I will greatly miss you here on earth Micah, but I am so looking forward to seeing you in heaven. Today I was meeting with a client and the conversation surprising turned to you when I found out this person's son knew you (you played soccer together), and this young man had called home equally upset to find out you had passed. You touched so many lives in your short 25 years...mine included. Your parents are correct. Those who never knew you have experienced one great loss, as well as all of us who miss you now.

  33. My prayers are with you all. I recieved notice of Micah's death through an ovarian cancer alert I am part of. I am so saddened to read this story. Micah seems to have been an amazing young man, husband, friend, teacher, etc. We cannot question Gods plan, but we know he has one. My daughter lost her best friend (at 11-yrs old) to a freak accident, we have never recovered. We miss her today as much as we did when the accident happened. We couldn't question God then either. Maybe Micah can look Kaley up and tell her hello! :) I am so very sorry for your loss.

  34. When I come to the end of the day,
And the sun has set for me.
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room.
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little, but not too long,
And not with you head bowed low.
Remember the love we once shared---
Miss me, but let me go.
For this is a journey we all must take,
    And each must go alone.
It's all part of the maker's plan,
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick at heart
Go to the friends we know.
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds---
Miss me, but let me go.

    See ya there bro......Later Tim

  35. "Now that I am a teacher I am in debt to my other teachers who had me as a student"-Micah Kaplan told me a year ago, as we reminisced about our HS senior English class and "little bear". Going together to our senior prom, even with his cast foot, was so fun! I could have not asked for a better friend to go with! His love for God, passion for soccer, and ability to make anyone smile~ are some of the many things that will forever be remembered.

  36. Micah I cried when I heard you passed away. You were an inspiration in my life. I enjoyed our times on the field together brother. I cannot do justice to the impact that you have had on so many lives. I consider it a privilege to have called you a teammate and a friend. I know that there is no justice in life..only what is meant to happen. You have impacted so many with your life..and will continue to in death. I want those that read this to not feel sadness...feel appreciation. Appreciation for everyday that you are alive for it is truly a privilege. Appreciation for Micah and his works in the lives of others. Exalt him. He would have it no other way.

  37. My Memories of Micah go back almost 20 years. He went to Ironwood Ele with my son David Vasquez. Boy he was a darling little guy. A smile that made your day no matter what was going on with you personally and he was the fastest runner Ironwood had. I watched him grow up into a very mature young man. My heart ached this morning as I watched the news and seen his beautiful face involved in this accident. Susie, I'm so sorry for your loss, I wish I could give you a big hug. The pictures of the two of you are absolutely beautiful. And to his parents I pray the Lord will get you through this time. Blessings, Sheila Aldridge

  39. Micah entered my life when I was very lost. It was an all time low and I was in a very dark place. Micah's light helped me find my way again. I remember Micah and Susie coming into the office and asking if they could pray over me. I was in disbelief that these 2 people cared enough about someone like me, a complete stranger to them practically. The three of us sat in the office and Micah allowed the words of the Lord to come through. I can't begin to express what this gesture meant to me. I remember calling my Mom that night and telling her how remarkable it was that Micah and Susie had taken the time to pray for me. I began going to church with them at City of Grace, and their light truly brought me closer to God. Micah was always a man of God, I never saw him falter. It doesn't make sense that such an incredible guy was taken from us now, in a world that seems so dark at times. Don't we need all the Micah Kaplans we can get? All we can do now, is be thankful for the times we shared with Micah and trust that God has the right plan. I will never ever forget the way Micah touched my life. I am so blessed to have him as my friend. Susie, I love you so much. I can't comprehend what you must be feeling right now. I know God's arms are wrapped tightly around you now. He will get you through this, beautiful angel.

I will never forget you, Micah.

  41. Micah. Where do i even begin. I met susie in 06 when i started working at sunrise preschool. Such a beautiful caring young girl. She was so welcoming and we had so much in common. Over the years we grew very close. For as long as i remember susie always had one guy on her mind. Micah. Altho she didn't want to admit it at first everyone saw right thru it. And he was the same way about her. Micaha was such a warm and caring person. He welcomed me and was instantly friendly and accepting. He always knew when you were having a bad day and he would never walk away with out finding out what was wrong. He always gave strong words of wisdom. The summer i spent working with mr micah is one i will never forget. Filled with water fights shoe stealing and tons of laughs. Rummy card games. Micah opened my eyes to a.lot of things i probably would have never seen. He taught me a lot about life and also a lot about working with kids. I can honestly say micah was one of a kind. I will never forget the experiance i had by knowing micah.

  43. Micah, could never forget him. We first met at GCU as I was going thru the death of my younger brother.. we had numerous conversations and he will always encourage me with a big smile on his face! Share a quick story.... we had a big test coming up in Bill Kuel class (Anatomy) and I ran into micah earlier in the day in which I had been dreading this test all week And Lord knows I needed some encouragement! So the first thing he do is remind me of the test, I know I have not studied enough to feel comfortable about passing. So he asked have u been studying? And I respond "oh no not really "hoping for some encouragement...he responds " DUDE YOUR SO TOAST" With the biggest smile on his face.. I couldn't help but laugh.. till this day that's a phrase that I use often and always think of him... HE WILL BE MISSED BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN!

  49. Micah, where do I even start? I only knew you for such a short time, but I consider even that time to be a great gift from God. The first time we met at the dog park and we chatted while Buddy played with our dogs, I immediately felt a connection as a brother in Christ. We had so much in common, and I knew you were someone I could see being good friends with. I'm deeply saddened now that your time was cut short and we didn't have more time to become better friends. Even still, you are my brother and someone I will never forget. I can't help but feel that I missed out on something great now that you're gone.

To this day, I remember your openness (even with a complete stranger) as well as the joy the was readily apparent in your life. You were constantly smiling and you were quick to attribute how blessed you were to God alone. But probably even more than that, I distinctly remember how much you loved Susie, your wife, your "sunshine." You were just exploding with love for her and repeatedly said how much you wanted Brianne and I to meet her. Now, I love my wife more than I love anyone, but the love you had for Susie and the way you showed it, puts all husbands everywhere to shame. As a husband, you challenged me to love my wife even more still, and as a man and a follower of Christ, you challenged me to love my God even more than that. And you did that not by judging or critiquing, but simply by the way you lived the life God gave you. That is your legacy. You were a great man who truly embodied the LOVE that caused you to start the Agape meetings. You, more than most, seem to have "gotten it," and I think we can all attest to the fact that you've helped others "get it" too. You will be dearly missed, and I can't wait for the day when I will see you again! And I can live and grieve with the SURE hope that this isn't the end.

Susie, I'm so thankful that God brought Micah into our lives, and in turn you as well. Everyone knows how positive, joyful, and smiling Micah always was. And while I know that is because of who he was and his character as a man, you should also know that HE attributed much of that to YOU. He called you his "sunshine" because you brought so much happiness into his life. And if there is ANYTHING we can do for you, we live just around the corner, and we'd be honored to help in any way. Know that we are here for you and that you are loved.

  50. I will always remember working with Micah at sunrise preschool in 03'. He was a fun co-worker whom always made people laugh and smile no matter what mood they were in. Boy did he love those spray bottles and one time accidentally sprayed me with bleach instead of water, his laugh is what made that moment fun, and thank goodness for those smocks we wore. My sons Nathan and Dillon will always remember Mr Micah playing basketball and other sports and games with them outside and in. Dillon reminded me the other day of a more serious memory about Micah. Susie you might remember! It was when Dillon got struck by a scorpion on the thumb. Kind hearted Micah caught the scorpion and saved it for me in a ziploc baggie in case the doctor needed to see it. Thank you for caring so much for others Micah, we will never forget you my friend, R.I.P.

  51. I only met Micah once and it truly made a lasting impression on me. We were playing basketball at Utopia and he was so athletic and competitive, yet was such a great sport. What I really remember from that night was after the games were over and everyone had scattered into their own small groups, I heard this voice from behind me saying," Hey guys, I don't know if anyone would be interested, but I have an Agape group meeting every Friday where we talk about Jesus and provide some upliftig and inspirtational messages and I would love for you to come." I really was blown away to hear a young man proudly profess his faith and not only that, his willingness to share his faith proudly and to take the opportunity of playing basketball to try to bring people to Christ. I remember giving him my number thinking he wouldn't call or text me, he didn't even know me. Sure enough, I received a text every single week from him askig me to participate. The interesting part was it wasn't a mass text sent to everyone, it was always a text directly to me asking me to participate. Even though he didn't know me, I felt so humbled by a young man and his willingness to go out of his way to invite me to his home to speak about the Lord.
I unfortunately never had the opportunity to attend, but I remember turning to my wife everyone time I received his text or coming home to show her his texts as I was so astonished by his love for Jesus. I also am a Christian, although, I am not anywhere near on the level as Micah was. I am truly saddened by this loss, but I know he is looking down now and will want all of us to continue his unbelievable faith and love for Jesus as he had. I didn't meet his wife, but I just want to let you know that this young man made a huge impression on me and I will try to be better because of him. May God Bless Micah and his family and I hope the comfort of the Lord helps you during this difficult time.
    "Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take."
    Proverbs 3 Verses 5 and 6.
Micah lived those words, hopefully we all can to.

  53. I did not know Micah personally, however I felt as if I did because my daughter would come home from school every day and tell me about him. He taught her P.E. when she was in sixth grade and left quite an impression on her. She was very sad to hear the news of his accident. Please know that he made a lasting impression and huge impact on my daughter. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

  54. What an amazing and beautiful heart after God Micah had--it was evident from the first moment we met him. Although we knew Micah when he was very young, we didn't know him as an adult until recently, when he and Susie visited our church. How truly blessed we all were that they came--two awesome young people, obviously so in love with each other and with God. Both Micah and Susie's testimoniies--as individuals and as a couple--bear witness to the endless and mighty love, grace and power of our God.
We extend our love, and heartfelt, deepest sympathy to Susie,Dan,Nancy,Joel and the entire Kaplan and Pangburn families: We will keep you all in our prayers daily. Our hearts are truly
    broken for you.
All these tributes and testimonies bear witness to the truth that Micah was an awesome, vibrant young man with a contagious zest for life and deep love for his wife, family, friends, students and co-workers. More than anything else, Micah loved Jesus--and everything Micah did he did in Jesus' Name--and that will live forever.

  55. Dear friend, I am writing to you to tell you how great and wonderful person you were. I had the fortune to meet you and get to know you when I got recruited to GCU. We played soccer together and took the same major together at GCU... I won't never forget how you introduced me to God to the gospel song that you used to listen before the game and during the soccer trip. I won't never forget your smile, your charisma, your way to look at life.....I have the picture of you laughing printed in my mind and everytime i am down and i see that smile you make me smile just like you are saying to me don't worry "milk man" (this is the way we used to call each other) I am with you guys....Micah my dear friend you will be missed

  59. To Micah's friends and family,
This poem is meaningful to me and I wanted to share it with you, especially knowing Micah's heart and hope. His smile and vibrant personality certainly lit up Highland Lakes School. He is missed greatly.

    The poet is anonymous:
    My First Christmas with Jesus

I see the countless Christmas trees
    around the world below
With tiny lights, like Heaven's stars,
    reflecting on the snow.
    The sight is so spectacular,
    please wipe away the tear
For I am spending Christmas with
    Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs
    that people hold so dear
But the sounds of music can't compare
with the Christmas choir up here.
I have no words to tell you,
    the joy their voices bring.
    For it is beyond description,
    to hear the angels sing.

I know how much you miss me,
I see the pain inside your heart.
But I am not so far away,
    We really aren't apart.

So be happy for me, dear ones,
You know I hold you dear.
And be glad I'm spending Christmas
    with Jesus Christ this year.

I sent you each a special gift,
    from my heavenly home above.
I sent you each a memory
    of my undying love.
After all, love is a gift more precious
    than pure gold.

    It was always most important
    in the stories Jesus told.
Please love and keep each other,
as my Father said to do.
For I can't count the blessing or love
He has for each of you.

So have a Merry Christmas and
    wipe away that tear.
Remember, I am spending Christmas with
    Jesus Christ this year.

May God grant you comfort in the days to come!
    In His love,
    Mrs. Clark

  62. For the last day I've been thinking of what I should say, how I should say what's on my heart for Micah. But words can't describe the magnitude, the reality of who Micah REALLY was. Such an inspiration, vibrant and full of life every day! Micah and I go back to Freshmen year in highschool. At first we didn't get along, imagine that. We both played soccer and were competitive in everything else we did. But little did I know that the person I couldn't get along with freshmen year would become one of the greatest friends I could ever ask for in life.

As the years in school went along we started to find common grounds through friends, the love of sports and most of all in our faith. That's when I knew Micah was the real deal. A genuine, true friend by the love he shared with others about the Lord we serve. Out of high school I leaned on Micah alot for inspriation, for encouragement when I was struggling in life. He always was there for me when I needed him the most. I'll never forget the late nights talking about life. I remember the day he told me about Susie, he was just full of smile like a kid on Christmas day. He knew he found the one for him.

Eventhough our lives took us in different directions any time we talked or met again it was as if we saw each other just the other day. That's just who he was, a person easy to find funny, kind and outgoing. Man Micah, you truly left a legacy. I'll miss you buddy, I'll miss knowing your just a phone call away, but I know I'll be seeing you again. Save me a spot up there.

    Love you man,

  65. I did not know this young man, but his Faith in Jesus amazes me. He gave himself over to Jesus heart and Soul. In doing so he made his life a witness. He is an inspiration to me. The tribute to Micah would be to live the Faith of Micah, be a servant, like Micah, and let the light of Micah's Faith so shine in ourselves that that others will seek the hope, the strength and the love of Christ's light. Suzanne, my heart breaks for you. Be comforted in Micah's assured resurrection, find hope, peace and assurance in the words of our Savior and in the arms of loved ones; whose open, comforting, arms are ready to enfold you, steady shoulders to lean and weep on.

  66. Dearest Dan & Nancy,
What words can anyone say at this time to comfort you. My heart is so full of many memories from the time Micah was a little boy, so full of energy , a smile that radiated his face, a broken heart when his Mom,Jeanie died, to a young man full of the agape love that Jesus' gave him always loving and kind to whosoever God sent across his path.
The Word of God says: Train up a child in the way he should go... Dan & Nancy you did it so well and the world will never be the same because of the impact his love for Jesus' had on so many people big and small.
May the comfort of the precious Holy Spirit bring you through to the Victory Line shouting and praising God for the fruit of your parenting him in the ways of God as even in death his testimony will touch many lives and many shall come into the Kingdom of God.
    Dear Susie,
I want to thank you for fulfilling a special time in Micah's life, his love for you was not just a human emotion but rather an expression of Jesus Christ and His Love for the Church. You completed his dream for happiness; to love and be loved.
Take comfort in the Arms of the Lord Jesus Christ Who never leaves us or farsakes us , always a Very Present Help in time of need.
My prayers are with all of you day and night that as the day is so will your strength be from the Lord.
    With much love and prayer,

  77. I first met Micah in 6th grade at church. The thing that stood out to me about him when I first met him is how outgoing and friendly he was to me. He truely showed Christ's love even at a young age. Years later, he and his lovely wife Suzie started coming to Believer's Family Fellowship. He again reached out to me by inviting me to the Agape small group. The Agape small group's messages primarily focused on the unconditional love of God. Although I was not able to attend very often due to my work schedule conflicting with the meeting time, I was truely blessed every time that I was there. Micah truely was a man on fire for God. I will continue to lift up Suzie, the Kaplans and the Pangurns in prayer during this difficult time.

He represented all the character traits that he was the captain of. Everyday of P.E when my class came we new we were in for a fantastic day to remember in our lives. When he and Mr. Marinelli were on the announcements we all new there was going to be a moment to cherish. He loved soccer and he made everybody who didn`t like sports try something new. He succeded in touching all of are hearts. Only at 25 years of age he did alot for us to remember each day of our lives. Everyday he came everybody would ask him can we play soccer and that made him laugh. I feel so bad for his wife and hope the best for you and your family through this tough time.

  82. Mr.Kaplan was one of my favorite teachers. He always made PE so much fun because he was always participating in the games with us. He taught us that it didn't matter if you win or lose as along as you had fun. I remember one day during class he got a call from his wife and it must have been very good news because he was so excited. He taught us that we should always be happy for someone else when something good happens to them because it probably made their life that much better.

I went to his viewing last night and thought that the video was very nice and showed what a great person he was. I noticed that all of the birds in the backdrop were brown except for one which was very colorful. I think that one represented Mr. Kaplan because you meet a lot of people in your life but there is always one that stands out and that was Mr. Kaplan. My sincerest sympathies to his family and his beautiful wife.

  83. I knew Micah through sport. Anyone who's given their all in athletic competition knows that at its best, this can bring out our best... our most basic truth, without a word being said. We pursue those moments of heightened awareness coupled with thoughtlessness. This is why we play. Rarely, we're able to look back and recognize such moments. Even more rarely, we're semi aware of them as they happen to us. Rarer still, we witness them in others. During a classic flag football, "just get open" play, I watched Micah break on a 15 yard in route and slip to the ground. I decided it would be fun to throw it to him while he was down just to see if he could make the play. I gunned it. By the time Micah made the catch he had hopped to his feet, cut 3 feet back to the outside, stopped, leaned to the inside, and dove to catch the ball right back on the same piece of ground where he'd been. Not a word said when we huddled, just a shared raised eyebrow.

We're gonna miss you bud. Wish we could have played some more. My heart goes out to you Susanna, and to Micah's entire family.

  84. I knew Micah as a young boy when he played Cisco soccer with my son Nick. He was a standout kid even then. After reading so many comments about Micah it is quite evident that he grew to be the man God intended him to be. He touched so many lives in a positive way, which is exactly what God wants us to do. He is the son every parent dreams about. I am so sorry for your loss Susanna and to his parents. It's my prayer that all those people whose lives he touched will not only forever keep Micah in their memories, but live their lives the way he did, being bold and intentional for the Lord. What a blessing he will continue to be. May God keep you Susanna and all of his family in the palm of His hand and give strength in the up coming days.

  85. I just found out about Micah's passing yesterday and I didn't find this site until this morning. I was Micah's sixth grade teacher. He was a bright, funny, amazing student who could make friends with anyone. He was also the only kid who ever outran me on the Ironwood Cross Country team. Even when I was supposed to be stern with him, I had to hide a smile because he just radiated joy, even at that young age. Micah and I sometimes ran into each other at the gym and we even exchanged numbers, but we never called each other. It hurts me now that I never reached out to him while I had the chance. I will miss you, Micah. With you gone, the world not quite as bright as it was. Rest in peace.

  100. Micah... Well, I've been waiting until the right time to share this and I guess now is the time. I'm not sure why I've hesitated on posting but here goes.
I remember our time at Grand Canyon like it was yesterday. I still remember the 1st day we met in class; you with your broken ankle and cast propped up on the table in the back of the classroom. When you found out my name was Micah Joel we immediately clicked and became best friends. Geez, and remember those midnight runs to Jack In The Box or Del Taco? I would order 3 tacos and you would order 6! I always said you "ate like a horse" and you said I was "hairy like a horse." That would explain why you got me the Cha Cha Chia Pet in the form of Donkey from Shrek for Christmas 2004. And our times playing Laser Tag with Amanda, hanging with Laura in the dorms, and all those nights I crashed at Dan & Nancy’s.
Micah, you were an incredible guy. You were a great friend.. so close that you became a brother. And the good Lord knows that we acted, talked, laughed, and argued like brothers. But at the end of the day, we were more than just best friends or brothers; We were also brothers in Christ. Micah, you were such an inspiration and a challenge to me. You were always praising our Lord and seeking the Lord.. always striving to be a better man, better man of God, too. Micah, you meant so much to me. Our friendship was truly unique and completely special. I have never had a friend or brother in Christ like I did with you.
Although it’s hard losing you, it is a blessing to know where you are right this instance. I can’t even being to fathom those pearly gates and streets of gold. But I know that you’re praising and glorifying our Heavenly Father right now just like you were when you were here. It has been such an honor and privilege to have been friends with you, Micah. I am so glad that you were in my life and I look forward to seeing you again.
    I love you, bro!

  102. I knew Micah for a brief time when we attended Grand Canyon University together. I had him in a few classes my freshman year, but that's all that it took for me to never forget him. He had such a joy in him that immediately spread throughout the room. He was always so funny and lighthearted in class, and it truly pained me to hear of his passing. I doubt Micah would even remember who I was, but I knew him as a happy go lucky guy and when I heard of his passing, I felt compelled to publicly share my appreciation for him. May God bless his wife and family and keep them during this difficult time.

  108. Micah, still thinking of you every day. The wound in my heart still aches. I wish things could be different and I mourn for you and for my sweet daughter. I trust in our loving God who has a plan that we can't comprehend now, but when we look back at this life from the other side of the veil, His wisdom and blessings will be apparent. I am so glad you are a part of our family and I look forward to the glorious day when we are reunited where there are no tears and no parting only joy and unconditional love.

The last thing i told him is to rent a tredmill go backwords on it and skip and that would be jerking and that in his class right now he has in science and in math and social studies and writing and all thoes other school stuff he said what does jerking hav to do with school and i said i dont no just do your homework and maby you will get an a in all the classes. but he never got to and still to this very day i still do not no how jerking has to do with school.ijust no that right now desert sage is not fun without him and that i miss him soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much and thoes ooooos arent even a addam of how much i miss him.
