Micah Benjamin Kaplan

Beloved husband, son and teacher Micah Benjamin Kaplan, 25, of Phoenix, AZ passed away in a vehicle accident Dec. 12, 2010. Born Feb. 3, 1985, Micah grew up excelling in soccer and cross-country – achieving state and national recognitions. Micah graduated from Cactus High School in Glendale as a member of the National Honor Society, and received his bachelor’s degree from Grand Canyon University in 2007. His love of sports and children lead him to teach at Highland Lakes School and Desert Sage Elementary School as a physical education teacher. On May 24, 2008, Micah married his wife Susanna. The pair was inseparable and the perfect match for one another in every way. Together they enjoyed fun, laughter and the ministry group, Agape, they started and lead from their home. Micah was a bright star that lit up any room he entered with his charisma. He loved people and would leave a room befriending everyone in it. Whether you knew him or not he loved you with all his heart. His family considered him a gift of the Lord. His students said there wasn’t another teacher like him. Micah is preceded in death by Nelda Jean Kaplan, his natural mother.
